Raffle Time!

As many of you know, a lot of the work I do here is for free or at a very low cost. Therefore, I have needed to get creative with ways to keep the business afloat. I want to write a new book and start a podcast. Both require time and finances. So I thought, let’s have a 50/50 raffle! If you don’t know what that is, it’s a popular fundraising strategy here in Nova Scotia, especially at hockey games.

How it works?

  • You buy as many tickets as you want.
  • On draw day, I will select a ticket.
  • The winner will receive 50% of the proceeds (via PayPal or e-transfer)
  • Other 50% goes to the business

How this one is a bit different

  • 20% of the business’s share will go to charity
  • If you win, you get to choose where half the charity portion goes
